Welcome
Turner Elementary Media Center assists the students in developing their research skills, technology skills, and reading skills.
Research Skills
Turner Elementary Media Center works with the classroom teacher to provide project-based instruction in the use of reference materials and the Internet to complete classroom assignments and personal interest research.
Technology Skills
Turner Elementary Media Center provides technology instruction to all students through student Chromebooks. Students are taught how to properly use the Online Public Access Catalog to locate resources within the media center.
Reading Skills
Turner Elementary Media Center assists the classroom teacher in enhancing students' reading skills. We use I-Ready to assess the students reading skills and determine appropriate reading materials for each student. Students are checked for comprehension of library books by participating in Renaissance AR tests. You can access your child's goal through Renaissance Home Connect at https://global-zone53.renaissance-go.com/welcomeportal/79853 You will need your child's library card number for login and their password.
